As the No. 1 recreational region in NRW, the Sauerland is easy to reach from almost anywhere thanks to its good connections to the bus and rail network and numerous highways. So that you don't lose a minute of your precious vacation time, we have described the shortest routes here:

With the FlixBus to the Sauerland:
Travel cheaply and relaxed with the green FlixBus to the Sauerland, e.g. from Berlin, Göttingen or Kassel. Tickets from Berlin are available from as little as 22 euros! From Kassel from as little as 5 euros! Your bike is also very welcome on board: it costs just 9 euros per bike. But please note: e-bikes, pedelecs, tandems and tricycles cannot be transported on a bike rack. In the Sauerland, the FlixBus stops at numerous vacation resorts.
Timetable and travel times:
On the new Berlin - Sauerland connection, the FlixBus runs 2x daily. To Braunschweig and Göttingen there are up to 3 daily services. The journey time from Berlin to Braunschweig is 2 ½ hours, Göttingen can be reached in around 4 hours. To Kassel, the green FlixBus takes 5 ¾ hours, Marsberg and thus the first stop in Sauerland is reached in 6 ¾ hours. The total journey time to the last stop in Neheim is around 8 ¼ hours.
