On the 'Rappelstein' in Nordenau rise the ruins of the castle complex built in the 13th century, a mighty wall 12 meters long. It was later taken over by the noblemen of the Grafschaft monastery. The partially rebuilt tower offers an attractive view over the Schmallenberg Sauerland.
