Café Blaubeere is the last remaining part of the former boiling hut. This filled the entire area of today's Haus Rosenau. The size of the boiling hut could contain up to nine boiling pans. A characteristic feature of this boiling hut was the bell tower, which announced the shift change and was affectionately christened "the bell ringer" by the people of Sassendorf.
Sassendorf's historic salt seal is of course represented at this prominent location. It hangs on the door of today's Café Blaubeere, which today spoils its guests with its own delicacies.
