#deinsauerland / Neusta POIs / Enemuder Warte Obermarsberg

Remains of the old town wall can still be seen in Obermarsberg today, including the water tower and the Buttenturm. There were a total of seven fortress towers along the town wall. Other watchtowers outside the town, from which the surrounding area could be easily surveyed, were the Donnersberger Warte (also known as the Mäuseturm) and the Priesterberger Warte on the mountain of the same name.

The Enemuder Warte is located in the Diemeltal at an altitude of approx. 277m. Today, the lookout is still approx. 5 m high, difficult to access, but can be visited on the 1st floor.

You can reach it via the B7 towards Marsberg as far as the Rennufer district, from there towards Obermarsberg as far as a railroad bridge, behind which you turn right to a signposted parking lot for hikers. From there, keep straight on for approx. 1.8 km, then follow the sign and a steep little path leads down to the Diemel.
