The forest ship has dropped anchor in the Biber Valley in the town of Rüthen.
The forest ship, a project component of the ERDF project (European Regional Development Fund) "WaldMeer", is an information point on the Sauerland-Waldroute that is used for environmental education measures.
The forest ship was built by the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park Association. The forest ship was officially inaugurated in a ceremony on May 27, 2015.
The starting point for exciting exploration tours with the ranger, as well as a rest stop for hikers, its shape was modeled on a sailing ship and is therefore unique.
The forest ship is a small information center and ranger station. Among other things, it is used to find out about dates and hikes.
As a meeting place, it has its own toilet facilities - also for people with disabilities! The forest ship is therefore a place to stay that supports environmental education and also facilitates and enables access to nature for people with disabilities.
Another photo point on the MöhnetalRadweg: cross the wooden bridge and there is an information board on the left-hand side about photo points: Video about the MöhnetalRadweg and website:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGy1TzP8Vu4
