The 4th Küppelturm was rebuilt in 2022. It is 28 meters high. 140 steps lead to the 6 x 6 meter viewing platform. From here, you have a beautiful view over Freienohl and the Ruhrtal. The Küppelturm is located at the top of the "Küppel" at a height of 413 meters.
Unlike its three predecessors, this fourth Küppel tower is no longer made of wood, but of steel. The viewing platform is clad in larch wood and bears the lettering "Küppelturm".
The Küppelturm is a popular excursion and hiking destination and is considered a landmark of the village of Freienohl.
