Dreislar barite - a valuable raw material from the depths of the earth

In the former open-cast mine near Dreislar, you can get to know the mineral barite and find out how deep this raw material is found in the earth.

You will find the Dreislar mine on the K56 in the direction of Hesborn.

The former open-cast mine is located above the pit. Drive from the K56 in the direction of Medelon and follow the Wirschaftsweg to the former open-cast mine. You can park there and walk just a few meters up the slope.
