The Hönne has eaten its way up to 80 m deep into the mass limestone. Explore the Hönnetal on narrow paths.

Over the millennia, the Hönne has eaten its way deep through the mass limestone, leaving us with a uniquely beautiful natural landscape and dozens of small and large caves.

The wild rock formations of the Seven Virgins accompany the river on its way towards Menden. The fortified Klusenstein Castle proudly towers diagonally opposite (outside visit only) and

the Sauerland-Waldroute leads directly through the Hönnetal.

Please do not leave the paths in the nature reserve and

visit the Reckenhöhle in Balve-Binolen
