Originally, the Hueck farm consisted of six residential and farm buildings. The seventh main house, which was added later, was built in the half-timbered style. The Fleetdeele and the mighty oak pillars are characteristic of the Low German house. Despite a long-suffering history, the Hueck family always had a large number of descendants. With the exception of one heir, these descendants were repeatedly drawn out into the wide world, so that the Hueck family is still internationally known today
. However, no farmer could afford to invest DM 50,000 alone in modernizing the outdated farm buildings. After a long period of uninhabitation, the building seemed destined to fall into disrepair. The change of location saved the Westfalen building and made a new beginning possible in Bad Sassendorf
