Not far from the Kahle Pön mountain at 774 m above sea level near the village of Düdinghausen in Medebach, hikers will come across this refuge, where Stefan Pinnow and Kathrin Heinrichs have already taken a seat for the "Wunderschön" program. Information boards provide information about the nature conservation and cultural landscape history of the Kahle Pön and the Kalied.

The Kalied (745m) offers a breathtaking panorama over the MedebachBay, which has been designated a European bird sanctuary.

There are a variety of hiking trails in the Medebach Bay - here is a suggestion to the refuge: On the Kahle Pön nature trail.
