Anröchte green sandstone has a special status in sculpture. As the green sandstone can be easily worked with sculpting tools, numerous sculptures have already been made from Anröchte green sandstone. Objects of art can be found in public places in Anröchte and also in Klieve.
A special art object is the 7.50 m high and 9.6 ton Klieve obelisk, which was erected in 2003 by the Klieve artist Jo Kley on the edge of the L 808. The Klieve Obelisk is part of his "KleyCity" project, a worldwide art project in which tower-like sculptures have been erected at selected locations in 19 countries since 1998, including Dubai, Brazil, South Korea, Turkey and Egypt. Jo Kley sees his tower sculptures as universals that can be understood anywhere in the world, regardless of nationality. The sculpture is a landmark for the local stone industry.
