A magnificent view of the village, valleys and heights of the Diemelsee Nature Park and the Sauerland mountains compensates for the effort of the climb.
The cross with the inscription: "In hoc signo 313 - 1913" commemorates the Roman Emperor Constantine after 1600 years.
This cross was erected in 1913 at the suggestion of the then vicar Habighorst, with the active help of the villagers and financial support from the associations.
It is still the village's landmark today. For almost 90 years, the procession has made its way up here on the 1st Sunday in October. This sign of Christianity enriches a beautiful piece of Germany, our Sauerland homeland.
