Until 1929, flax cultivation was an important source of income in Niedersfeld. Sowing and processing the plant and its fiber was women's work. From the linseed to the woven fabric, a number of steps had to be taken. This journey of the flax from sowing to weaving the linen is presented in the Heimatstube Niedersfeld.
The centerpiece of the exhibition is the weaving loom from 1800, which can also be demonstrated by appointment.
The permanent exhibition, a photo documentation, is located in the premises of the tourist information office (Josefsweg 1):The 100 years of tourism in Niedersfeld are shown here. A mineral exhibition and a small natural history exhibition round off the offer for the visitor.
