Mining shaped the townscape of Ramsbeck until well into the 20th century. Large chimneys, lead smelters and clouds of smoke dominated the townscape. The natural landscape had been transformed into an industrial landscape.

The information board is located on the mining trail. Take the R72 from Bestwig Bahnhos to the "Ziegelwiese" exit. From there it is a 1-minute walk to the mining trail.
