Around 25 species of waterfowl can be regularly observed on the Möhnesee. In the winter months, large populations of goosanders, goldeneyes and pochards can be found here, and even ospreys can be seen during the migration season. Tufted ducks and great crested grebes can be found on the lake all year round. From mid-August to the end of September, you can also observe cormorants on the Möhnesee.
