Site of the Hospital of the Holy Spirit for four centuries, first mentioned in a document in 1346. Destroyed by fire in 1742. Construction of the present building in 1803. 1999 Donated to the citizens of the town by Wilhelmine Hövener, the last owner. Since 2011 Museum Haus Hövener with an interactive model of the town, containing detailed information on the town's history.
