The Kitz families lived in the house at Am Markt 4, first master builder Matthäus Kitz (town hall façade) and then his son Dr. Friedrich Casimir Kitz (court physician to the Prince of Waldeck). Destroyed by fire in 1902, the Kreissparkasse did not build on the site until 1936/37.
