The summit of the Olsberg with its striking summit cross can be seen from afar and is a popular hiking destination.
From the center of Olsberg, where we are at 350m above sea level, the summit (700m above sea level) is well marked.
Kurterrainweg 3 leads up the "Rutsche" road, first left... until shortly before the Hasleyhütte.
Follow the road uphill until a hiking sign on the left provides further information. Opposite the hiking board, take the steep footpath uphill.
Via the cliff path, past the Luisenquelle, a somewhat strenuous but wonderful hiking trail leads up to the summit cross.
The view of the young Ruhrtal rewards the effort.
We recommend returning to the town via hiking trail 08, which leads past the forest altar to the Dr. Grüne spa gardens, where you can refresh yourself at the covered pedal pool.
