The waterfall can only be reached on foot. In the village of Wasserfall, a sign points the way to the Plästerlegge waterfall. From there it is about a 20-minute walk. The path to the waterfall is not accessible with a baby carriage.
Below the waterfall, there is a viewing platform with a seating area where you can take a break. There are also information boards about the "Plästerlegge" nature reserve.
The Plästerlegge is located in a nature reserve - therefore the view of the waterfall may be restricted in the summer months due to the overgrowth!
Tip:
If it is consistently frosty for a long time in winter, the waterfall partially freezes. A very special sight. But beware: the path to the waterfall can be quite slippery. We recommend sturdy winter/hiking boots and hiking poles or possibly shoe spikes.

Directions
The waterfall can only be reached on foot. It is approx. 1.5 km on foot (not barrier-free) from the town center/hiking sign for the waterfall. Parking is available in the Wasserfall through road on Aurorastrasse, or at the Fort Fun Abenteuerland leisure park (Aurorastrasse 50). Bus route R72 runs between Bestwig, Bahnhof and Bestwig, Wasserfall.
