On May 11, 1989, the public library opens in the town hall of Olsberg! Initially, 4000 media items were available for borrowing in an area of 100 square meters.
20 years and 2 relocations later, the stock has grown to almost 18,500 media units! At its current location, the library offers its customers a generous 324 square meters of space and sufficient time to browse through the diverse range of media and the various sections during its 27 weekly opening hours...
If you are looking for something on the topics of "Building & Living", "Eating & Enjoying", "Job & Career", "Hobby & Leisure", "Healthy & Fit" or "Traveling", you've come to the right place!
Just like young families who need advice on pregnancy or raising children. You're sure to find what you're looking for in the family library!
Our student center, the S-Punkt, makes life easier for desperate students with numerous reading aids, formulary collections, A-level aids, etc.
Magazines, DVDs, music CDs, CD-ROMs, games, audio books and current novels, children's, youth and non-fiction books provide plenty of variety and round off the range of media on offer.
And while parents browse through the stock, even the youngest children can fearlessly discover new worlds in the children's library with its beautiful reading tent and cardboard picture books...
