Located in Küsterland (in the rose village of Assinghausen) you will find a special place.
The rose rosary consists of:
- Five large pearls, represented by the Küsterlandkapelle, the Chapel of the Blood-Sweating Savior, the Mother of God Grotto, the old oak tree the course of the river Schirmecke.
- In between, ten small pearls, represented by roses along the path.
- Three further small pearls made of roses and a large pearl in the form of a rose bush as a link to the 4.5 m high cross.
One begins at the cross and prays all of the petitions along the path of the connected chain. The sections consisting of one large bead and the ten small beads are referred to as the chaplets.
The rosary can be prayed in the classic way.
The prayer of beads gives strength for everyday life, comfort in illness, grief and suffering.
