To the east of the outer bailey of Körtlinghausen Castle with its farm buildings, there is also a sawmill from the 19th century in an ensemble of outbuildings (including a residential house and distillery). It is one of the typical historical and technical economic facilities of the estate, which was mainly dominated by forestry, with its extensive forest districts.
