The Schlade hiking parking lot is located on the L842 country road between Neuenrade-Affeln and Allendorf.
From here, you can reach the Sauerland-Höhenflug long-distance hiking trail (Wanderbares Deutschland quality trail) in just a few steps. The Affeln circular trail AR1, which is almost 22 km long, leads directly past the parking lot.
Small circular trails (A trails) from 3 km to 4.5 km start here.
A hiking board set up there by the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park (formerly Homert) provides orientation.
