Chimneys protruding from the forest floor, a weather vane, gates made from large oven forks and a huge witches' cauldron surrounded by open spell books in a small valley surrounded by paths - Lili Fischer occupies the place known from time immemorial as "Hexenplatz" with the relics of a supposedly sunken witches' village. Her work bears witness to the myth of the witch and transports hikers into a world of fairy tales and magic. At the same time, however, it also draws attention to the real-life cruel persecution of people during the time of the witch trials: on the other side of the valley is the "interrogation site" where supposed witches were once sentenced to death.
