The sculpture "Stein-Zeit-Mensch" by artist Nils-Udo looks almost like an archaic temple: a huge block of rock lies in the middle of the forest, framed by a monumental tree trunk architecture. The quartzite monolith weighs almost 150 tons and, embedded in the quiet grandeur of the forest, forms a monument and memorial to itself: its size, its timeless connection to the earth and its uniqueness. Exposed to this powerful unity, the hiker experiences his own temporality and vulnerability, and the sculpture Stein-Zeit-Mensch is one of the 43 Sauerland-Seelenorte in the Sauerland-Wanderdorf. You can find the history of the Sauerland-Seelenorte by Michael Gleich and other useful information at www.sauerland-seelenorte.de
