Unique panoramic view of the Möhnetal valley
The Skywalk Möhnetal steel construction rises 30 meters above the Lieth escarpment and for the first time
opens up a unique panoramic view over the Möhnetal valley as far as the Arnsberg Forest and, on the way back, into the farmland of the Soest Börde. Over thousands of years, the Möhne has created a unique 78-metre-long steep slope on the European natural border between the north-western European lowlands and the central European uplands.
The LEADER project 3-Landschaftserlebniswelten Möhnetal provides basic knowledge about the landscape and local history of the arable, Möhnetal and forest landscape, which meet in a small-scale and contrasting way between Allagen and Niederbergheim.
The stories of these landscapes on geology, animal and plant species, agricultural and forestry use
in the past and today are presented and contrasted in a concise way.
