The first chapel from the first third of the 17th century was originally a half-timbered building. In 1818, it was clad with sheet metal and boards as it had suffered badly from the weather. The dilapidated chapel was demolished in 1930. The people of Sögrop used their own funds to build a new chapel, which was consecrated in December 1931. A further renovation took place at the beginning of the 1990s.

There is a wooden sculpture of the patron saint, St. Blaise, in the chancel.
