As early as 1707, a church in honor of St. Nicholas stood on the site of today's church. Records from 1913 report that the old church was dilapidated. According to plans by Karl Wibbe, a new church was built on the old foundations in 1931.

Worth seeing are a cross (ca. 1530) and various figures of saints (from the 14th and 15th centuries).
