To mark the 750th anniversary of the village of Referinghausen in 2019, the temporary Strohtherme pavilion celebrates a milestone in the history of the village: the supply of heat to all houses from bioenergy.

The straw on the outer wall is a metaphor for renewable raw materials. The steel basin with warm water symbolizes the energy generated from biomass. The special atmosphere invited hundreds of visitors to learn more about sustainability and environmental protection.
