The granary is the oldest building in Olsberg and one of the oldest tithe granaries in North Rhine-Westphalia.

This tithe storehouse dates back to 1556 and is located in the center of the village of Assinghausen.
The name "Zehntspeicher" comes from the original task of storing the farmers' taxes, the tithe.
Today there is a small museum of local history inside.

The Dortmund-Sauerland-Express (RE 57 Dortmund-Winterberg) also offers a regular direct connection to Bigge-Olsberg. There is also a direct connection from Dortmund and Korbach to Brilon.
