Would you like to experience how fresh VELTINS is produced and bottled? We cordially invite you to a guided tour of the brewery in Grevenstein. Let an experienced VELTINS employee explain to you what is important in the production of fresh VELTINS. A great experience with exclusive insights into one of Germany's largest private breweries.
In 1824, a small country brewery in Grevenstein began brewing beer in accordance with the German Purity Law. Over 180 years later, one of the most modern private breweries in Europe is located here: the C. & A. VELTINS brewery.
The foundations of this unique success story of the company, which has been run by the Veltins family for five generations, are investment power, entrepreneurial vision and a corporate culture that is characterized by team spirit and the highest quality standards in equal measure. To this day, the premium beer is brewed exclusively from the highest quality ingredients - malt, hops, yeast and the purest spring water - strictly in accordance with the Purity Law of 1516. The water, which springs from the mountains around Grevenstein, is exceptionally soft. This is one of the main reasons why VELTINS has brewed beer exclusively in the Pilsen style since 1926: VELTINS Premium Pilsener.
However, the success story began much earlier. In 1852, founding father Clemens Veltins took over a small country brewery in Grevenstein in Hochsauerland, where he supplied 150 hectoliters of beer a year to many local taverns in addition to the brewery's own guests. Since 1994, Susanne Veltins has been continuing the successful history of the C. & A. VELTINS brewery in the fifth generation.
The guided tours take place on Tuesdays at 9:30 am. There are no guided tours on public holidays or between Christmas and New Year's Eve.
