Built in 1937/38 on the hilltop of the 481 m high Weilenscheid, set on fire in 1945 during the last days of the war.

Until 1997, the old tower foundation dominated the image of the Weilenscheid, and

in 1997 a new tower was built entirely of wood. After 60 steps (staircase and spiral staircase) you reach the viewing platform of the 14.50 m high viewing tower.

A hike via the A16, A17 or x8 hiking trails to the Wallburgturm is definitely worthwhile.
