The flowing skirts and thick woolen jackets blowing in the wind. If you don't believe it, take a look around the West German Winter Sports Museum in Winterberg-Neuastenberg.
In a former agricultural building, the history of West German winter sports is documented in words, pictures and exhibits over an area of 250 m²: Development of skiing - Ski tourism - Ski production - Ski equipment - Ski clothing - Sauerland ski club - Ice skating - Sledging and bobsleighing - Winter sports and the environment - Changing special exhibitions

Services and offers: Unfortunately, the museum is not accessible for the disabled. Parking lot in front of the museum, show workshop, guided tours by arrangement through the exhibition, which is well worth seeing and was awarded the FIS certificate of the Internat. Ski Federation in 2018. There are only 33 of these worldwide. After visiting the museum, it's worth stopping off at the Landfein restaurant directly below the exhibition.
