Embedded in the beautiful landscape of the Sauerland, the Dorlar forest adventure trail at 450 m above sea level invites you to discover nature in a playful way. Over a distance of approx. 2.5 km, nine adventure stations convey the diversity of nature. Compete with the forest animals in the long jump or play the forest xylophone.
We recommend that you bring sturdy shoes with good tread soles, as well as sufficient food and drink.
A rescue point system has been installed in the Hochsauerland district. Rescue points can be found on the information boards at junctions and on the hiking signs.
At station 5, a group of sticks with a beautiful view invites you to enjoy a picnic.
There are no parking facilities at the start of the forest adventure trail. Use the parking facilities in Dorlar or Sellinghausen and walk to the start of the forest adventure trail or to the entrance at station 5.
Parking is available at the church in Dorlar. From here it is approx. 1.2 km on foot to the start of the forest adventure trail.
From Sellinghausen it is approx. 800 m on foot to station 5. Parking is available in Sellinghausen at the ski hut.
