Nature treasures in the Sauerland "NSG Nasse Wiese" Bödefeld circular trail
The Hunau ridge, up to 818 meters high, is one of the highest elevations in North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition to large stands of deciduous woodland, two of the Sauerland's rare moors can also be found here.

Moors are very rare in the Sauerland - but there are two such ecosystems on the Hunau mountain ridge, which is up to 818 meters high. And not only the "Nasse Wiese" and the "Rauhe Bruch" are worth a hike - hikers roam through large deciduous forests and immerse themselves completely in nature.

Directions
To get to the "Nasse Wiese" nature reserve, hikers follow the 8.1-kilometre circular trail B 4. If you also want to see the second moor, take trail X 25 from there to the "Rauhen Bruch" and return to the starting point later on the same route.
Equipment
We recommend that you bring sturdy shoes with good tread soles, as well as sufficient food and drink.
Safety guidelines
A rescue point system has been installed in the Hochsauerland district. Rescue points can be found on the information boards at junctions and on the hiking signs.

How to get there
The "Unterm Nonnenstein" hiking parking lot is located on the K19 between the villages of Bödefeld and Osterwald.
