From Balve railroad station, you reach the Sauerland-Waldroute through the Balve Forest shortly after the village of Stephanopel. From here you can follow the quality trail.

Directions
From the parking lot at the train station, take the road "Am Baumberg" and follow it to the end of the built-up area. Then keep left and after a short time you will come to a fork in the road above pastureland. Keep right here. Your route continues straight ahead in a sharp right-hand bend. You quickly gain height and enjoy the magnificent views. On the Balve Forest ridge, you will come across the Sauerland-Waldroute.

Public transit
Arrival by regional train (RB 54) from Unna/Fröndenberg/Menden or Neuenrade, stop Balve.
How to get there
From Lüdenscheid/Werdohl/Neuenrade via the B229 to Balve. At the end of the main road (large junction with traffic lights) keep right in the direction of Arnsberg/Menden. Take the next left into the street "Am Baumberg" and immediately left into the parking lot. From Arnsberg/Menden also take the B229 to Balve. 1.2 km after the town entrance sign, turn right into the street "Am Baumberg" and immediately left into the parking lot.
