This stage of the Sauerland-Waldroute is characterized above all by its exciting changes in landscape and its unexpected sights. The start in the wildlife park in Warstein gives you a first impression of the tour. Past the Warstein brewery, the route climbs through dense forests along narrow paths.
The hiker passes historical sites and also encounters the legends and myths of the Sauerland, inviting them to take a short break. The highlight of the tour is certainly the Hohle Stein, which suddenly appears after a short hike across an open field.
Equally impressive are the small paths that now lead towards the final destination of Kallenhardt. After the last few kilometers over the heights before Kallenhardt, you finally reach your destination. Hikers can enjoy a small or large refreshment stop at the Landhotel Knippschild in Kallenhardt.

Information on the rescue signs along the Sauerland-Waldroute
Most hiking trails run away from towns and settlements and every hiker has thought about what would happen if an emergency were to occur. How can I be found here? Where am I anyway? Can the emergency services reach me?
In an emergency, things have to happen quickly! That's why the Sauerland-Waldroute is equipped with so-called rescue signs throughout. The green and white stickers attached to the posts of the signposts have a number that you must give when making an emergency call. This means that the emergency services know exactly where you are and valuable time can be saved.
