Due to the high proportion of asphalt, the tour is suitable for hikers with baby carriages. The playground in the Lennepark is a great place to stop along the way. Various restaurants, cafés and ice cream parlors in Schmallenberg also invite you to take a break. Please check in advance whether the elevation profile is suitable for you.

Recommended seasons
The hike leads along fields and meadows from Fleckenberg to Schmallenberg. The way back leads partly along the wood experience trail with its stations on the subject of "forest". Passing the former Hesse cutlery factory, you return to the starting point.

Public transit
The SB9 line runs between the towns of Schmallenberg and Lennestadt/Altenhundem with a stop in Fleckenberg. Use the "Mitteldorf" stop. From here it is about a 10-minute walk to the starting point of the hike at the Schützenhalle.

How to get there
From Schmallenberg, take the B236 to Fleckenberg. Turn left here in the direction of Latrop. The sports field is on the right-hand side of the road, where the trail starts.
