Touring bike enjoyment in the Sauerland
Relaxed on two wheels through the land of 1000 mountains
Just a few more meters and we've made it and arrived at the summit. At least that's what the app says. There's sure to be another really great view from there. Perfect for a little break. This is exactly how I imagined a bike tour in the Sauerland - lots of nature, phenomenal scenery and little traffic on the roads. Simply ideal and, thanks to the rental e-bikes, not even that strenuous. It doesn't seem like it at all that we've been on the road since this morning and have already covered more than 40 kilometers. The time really flew by.
How convenient that we were able to recharge our batteries on the spot during our lunch break at the inn while we enjoyed a delicious meal. We're guaranteed not to run out of juice on the way. And how idyllic it was in the Biergarten. It was a shame that we had to move on already. But we still have a few kilometers to go and we really want to take in the other highlights on the route. Or maybe a delicious piece of cake or an ice cream afterwards? I'd definitely love that as a little reward. You have to treat yourself sometimes.
It's definitely not the last time we'll be cycling here in the Sauerland. There were a few more tours on the website that I thought were really cool. I've never ridden on old railroad lines before and I'm sure it's really interesting. Or we could just come up with our own route using the junction system that you can find everywhere here and stroll a little longer through one of the little towns. We want to keep things nice and relaxed. But now it's time to pedal hard again and we'll be at the top.
