The Westfalen Salt Worlds Adventure Museum in the heart of Bad Sassendorf gets to the bottom of these questions about the "white gold". Today, the former salt mining village is a modern but still idyllic spa where you can enjoy some time out. Small stores, cafés and restaurants invite you to stroll and linger, and there is plenty to experience in the spa park around the imposing Gradierwerk. How about a game of adventure golf? Or immerse yourself in the bathing and sauna landscape of the Börde Therme...

Group highlights

In addition to the various guided tours (in the exhibition, in the village and in the spa gardens), salt boiling is a special experience for groups. Our boiling master will introduce you to the secrets of the regional tradition of boiling. At the end, each participant takes home their own boiled salt. If you like, you can also process it into bath or herbal salt in various workshops.
With our Börde building blocks, these experiences can also be combined with a guided tour of Soest or a boat trip on the Möhnesee, for example.

Note

In addition to the Westfalen Salt Worlds, there is much more to discover in Bad Sassendorf, including the 30-hectare spa park with the Gradierwerk adventure park and various themed gardens. In the town center, various stores, cafés and restaurants invite you to stroll and linger.
