A "completely natural" rally through Neuastenberg

#deinsauerland / A "completely natural" rally through Neuastenberg

Neuastenberg /

How often have you tried to hit a tree five meters away with a spruce cone? Probably rarely or not at all, right? Do you actually know what a pinge is and what the grass ore is all about? Probably not, don't you! Then you probably also don't know what the hilltop village of Neuastenberg and its many leisure and vacation activities are all about. Never mind, you really do have the very best prerequisites for breaking new ground on this "all-natural" hiking rally and playfully becoming a hilly village explorer and naturalist at the same time.

Take up the challenge, a total of 19 exciting stations await you on this approx. 3-kilometre nature and adventure hike. Get to know a beautiful village steeped in history in a different way and open your eyes to a wonderful spot on earth and natural experiences that you might otherwise have simply walked past. Simply lace up your hiking boots and let us take you by the hand. On this "guided" tour, for example, you can find out what sports are on offer in Neuastenberg, how tourism works and - quite pragmatically - when the tourist office is open.

Sharpen your senses and test your knowledge of nature! Which natural sounds can you recognize with your eyes closed and what are the hiking signs of the Sauerland Mountain Association actually about? Which leaves belong to which tree or shrub by the side of the path? How old is a particular spruce and how old are the mother trees behind it? Discover an area that was "cleared" by Hurricane Kyrill a few years ago and delve into history with questions about the Pinge and the Landwehr. You will also get to know a section of the Rothaarsteig. This trail is also known as the "Path of the Senses" and leads from Brilon to Dillenburg. You will explore a section of the Rothaarsteig with magnificent views of the land of a thousand mountains during your adventure rally.
