The hiking trail is a circular route to the Höhenflug and is called the Meisebockweg. Meiseböcke is the old nickname for the inhabitants of Liesen. It originated from disputes between the people of Liesen and the lords of Meysenburg.
The path is marked throughout with a white H on a blue background.

The path leads up the village road for a short distance, then turns left via "Neustadt" and at the end of the road, turn right onto Schützenstraße. Before the Schützenhalle, turn left along meadow paths up to the Köppel and continue above the Volkesbach stream into the forest, which has been damaged by heavy bark beetle infestation. At the end of the forest, the path crosses the Hude (pastureland) and branches off to the right behind a cowshed into the Liesetal (nature reserve), which you follow over a narrow wooden bridge on the left until you come to the Liesetal nature trail. From there, continue uphill until shortly before the "Hohe Schlade" hiking trail, then turn right onto the path below the Hilmesberg nature reserve until the path turns right onto a narrow path down to the Hilmesbergweg. At the end of the path, turn left up to the top, then right and follow the path through meadows and fields, crossing the country road up to the "Sauerland Stuhl". Now continue down the hill and follow the "Bahnweg" to the Kreuzweg. Turn left up the Kreuzberg to the "geographical center" of Hallenberg and its villages. Here, the Meisebockweg leaves the high route in the direction of Kreuz, leads through the forest or along the edge of the forest onto the path that then crosses down to the Philosophenweg in the outgoing Liesetal. From here, follow the path back to the center of Liesen village.
