Two friends fish together at the lake.
Day after day, they wait feverishly for the line to twitch for the first time. When one of them makes a wish after a strange catch, they both get caught up in an unstoppable whirlpool of ever greater desires - one wish chases the next.
But suddenly their friendship is in danger and they are faced with an important decision.

With wind, video and high waves, Melanie Sowa and Philipp Michael Börner tell the story of friends Ilse and Bill, exploring the inner workings of the turbulent spiral of desires of "bigger, faster, more" in a fairytale-like and richly illustrated way.

"United Puppets" has repeatedly been named "Children's Theater of the Month NRW" by the Kultursekretariat Gütersloh, was awarded the Grand Jury Prize of the MOMIX Festival and the Baden Württemberg Art Scholarship and received the INTHEGA Children's and Youth Theater Prize and the Berlin Children's and Youth Theater Prize IKARUS in 2021.
