What a strange week it's been! - thought Mr. Taschenbier as he went for a walk: The sun was shining on Sunday, well, that's often the case. On Monday, his old friend Mr. Mon came to visit. Tuesday he was on duty and Wednesday was the middle of the week, so far everything was normal. But on Thursday a mighty thunderstorm rolled in and it thundered. Thursday thunder! On Friday, the office key was gone and Mr. Taschenbier had the day off. Friday off!
And today is Saturday! Mr. Taschenbier didn't know what a Sams was. But when he meets one that day, he recognizes it immediately: a nose like a pig's snout, red spiky hair, small, cheeky eyes and a face full of bruises - it can only be a Sams! Singing merrily, it sits in front of Mr. Taschenbier on the street. And because Mr. Taschenbier is the only one who recognizes it, Sams decides that he should be his dad from now on. Sams never leaves his side again. Mr. Taschenbier is a very timid fellow, avoids arguments as much as possible and is afraid of people who scold him. A Sams is pretty much the last thing he needs. But by the time he realizes this, it's already too late, Sams has made himself comfortable in his apartment and is arguing with his landlady. And the coming week is guaranteed to be even weirder than the last for Mr. Taschenbier...
