The Lippstadt water tower has been shaping the panorama of the city of Lippstadt since 1901. Decommissioned in 1977, the industrial monument has been open to the public since 2013. The light artwork by Jan-Peter Sonntag impresses with an infinitely rising column of light, which combines with a sound installation and the interior of the water tower to create a total work of art. You will also learn about how the water tower works and Lippstadt's water management system.
