Friedrich Blankenburg was a monastery pensioner and laid the foundation stone for green Lippstadt around 150 years ago. He was the founder of the Lippstadt Beautification Association and the initiator of the Lippstadt avenues.
Our city guide will start his tour with you at the town hall. The history of the listed trees is linked to the history of the town. The first stop is the abbey ruins, where you will see an old copper beech, silver maple, European beech and yew. The route then leads along Kastanienallee and Lindenallee - the longest avenue in Lippstadt - to Kuhmarkt and Tivoli.
