Beer, sofa, soccer - an average life. Suddenly, however, death itself appears at the door and announces that this life will be over in three minutes. So far, so predictable. What was not foreseeable and even less planned, however, was that ex-girlfriend Sophia knocks on the door at precisely this moment. A mistake in the operational process. From now on, fatefully chained together, a spectacular journey through life begins for the man, Sophia and Death. Passing pubs, motels and special people, their funny and touching road trip takes them further and further back into their past lives.
The three actors are also responsible for the staging, version and set. The play is based on the debut novel by North German musician and author Thees Uhlmann, which was published in 2015. "Sophia, der Tod und ich" was a Spiegel bestseller and has since been translated into several languages.
Die Presse's verdict on the stage adaptation: "The three directors and actors succeed in bringing the mixture of road movie and homage to life to the stage in a cheerful and touching way." (Frankfurter Neue Presse)
"It is above all the quiet moments in this production, overflowing with humor, improv ideas and flashing depth of focus, that are particularly moving." (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung)
