Pizzeria La Tavola da Franco

The restaurant La Tavola da Franco has been a fixture in Meschede since 1976. Even then, Franco Tiscione wanted to bring the culinary culture and Mediterranean cuisine of his native Naples closer to the small town in Sauerland and continues to do so with passion and Italian hospitality after all these years. In addition to fresh seafood and authentic pasta specialties, our restaurant offers a typical Neapolitan pizza baked in a wood-fired oven according to traditional recipes, just as it was 40 years ago. As with a stone oven pizza, the heat from the stones penetrates the pizza and makes the dough crispy without drying it out. What makes it special, however, is the unique taste of the beech wood, which flavors the pizzas as they burn in the oven at up to 400 degrees. In combination with the wonderful atmosphere of the fountain on Kaiser-Otto-Platz and the Walburgakirche church, this is a piece of vacation in the middle of everyday life.
