Beekeeping Schürholz

What began as support for the farm's own orchards quickly developed into an affair of the heart. Hof Schürholz now has around 25 bee colonies, from which not only honey but also mead, pollen and wax products are produced.

Hof Schürholz also has an apiary in the orchard at the teaching garden of the Konrad Adenauer School Center, which is part of the school's beekeeping club founded in 2014. Here, the pupils learn exactly where honey comes from and the importance of bees using a practical example.
