The "Geologischer Sprung" theme trail explains the special geological, topographical and cultural-historical situation of the Brilon limestone hilltop landscape and the Bilstein. The title comes from the special feature that two different geological testimonies from the Devonian period can be experienced in a very small space: the Kalkkuppen of the Brilon plateau on the one hand and the diabase deposits of the Bilstein on the other.
